This past weekend, Evan, Frankie, Christie, and I went to Singapore short film festival at UNLV. Unfortunately, only us and maybe 3 other people went. :( The filmmakers were even there to talk about their work. Actually the filmmakers outnumbered the people there. :( Yes, it was shameful night to be rebel.
Even though there weren't that many people, the films were amazing! One of my favorite films was Buy Me Love by Ric Aw, which was about a lonely, old cook who buys a young Chinese mail order bride. Another one of favorites was Autograph Book by Wee Li Lin, that was so cute and colorful. I also really liked Birthday by Bertrand Lee, but it made me sad. It was about a couple and ahh, I can't explain. But believe me, it was sad.
The filmmakers were so nice, they gave me a Singapore flag and noodles. :P
I had no idea the film professor at UNLV directed Puppet Master, that is crazy.
I want to go Dam Short Film Festival, its on my birthday. Hopefully Evan will take me. :D
