My camera broke. It isn't broken entirely, it doesn't upload photos through the USB cord.
I was thinking about getting a new camera until I heard this podcast about the maker movement. (I posted this link on my shared Google Reader.)
The whole point of the maker movement is about true ownership.
Do I really own my camera if every time it breaks, I have to send it back to the company to fix it, or replace it? The company has me on a leash.
Maybe I wont buy a new camera. Maybe I will spend the rest of my summer (or year) fixing my camera.
