The republicans are hypocrites. It is okay to develop opinions over time. BUT McClain and Palin are flip-flopping to save their butts. That is not cool.

There is a commercial dissing Obama because is “famous” and not ready to lead. McClain please, Palin is so famous, she was/is on the covers of beauty and gossip magazines. She is getting more coverage than you that I think she is running for president.

Another commercial said Palin fought against big oil. She sued national government for putting polar bears on the endangered species list because it would harm oil and gas development (or profits).

(There is so much other stuff. I would be here typing all day. I need to study for Muleshkov’s quiz and finish reading Roll the Bones.)

Obama isn’t my perfect candidate. (My perfect candidate will never hold office. I am too young and radical.) I still like him a lot. If he is in office, I will be able to have more pride in my country.*

*I’m reluctant to show patriotism. I am 20 years old and Bush has held office since I was 13-14 years old. Prior to this, I didn’t know/care about government, politics, or the world. Around 16, I started to become aware of my surroundings. I disagreed with a lot of what was happening. I started to feel shame in my country. I feel shame because of Bush. If McClain/Palin win, Jesus Christ, I need to get out of here.
