National Clean Energy Summit Day 1

Today was the kickoff of Clean Energy Week located on/near UNLV.

Bill Clinton gave a very inspiring and motivating speech at the National Clean Energy Summit. (He was wearing a lime green tie which I thought was very cute too.) One thing I really liked about Bill's speech was he mentioned there is no perfect way to being green. One solution to a problem is always going to lead to another problem. (That shouldn't discourage us, we should be aware though. )

He also spoke about Nevada being the leader for clean energy. I am usually anti-Vegas but lately it has been growing on me. I wouldn't be so embarrassed of Vegas if we can make switches to alternative energy sources and better water usage.

I know Las Vegas isn't the smartest city. (I think there might be a lot of other cities where humans shouldn't live also. Las Vegas isn't the one and only.) I usually take that side of the argument but it doesn't seem right. (Maybe it is the years I have spent growing up here.) Las Vegas is home to me and Las Vegas citizens have the right to change their ways and maybe be a leader/follower in better environmental decisions. (I will elaborate on this more later, I need to head to sleep, tomorrow is a long day.)

I am very happy that Las Vegas was chosen to be location of the National Clean Energy Summit.

Bill Clinton is really, really cool guy. He has been added to my favorite people list.
